Chapter the SecondIt took us a minute to come out of shock. The place was humongous. Ornate tapestries and gold and silver vines hung from the vaulted ceiling. Five long tables were set with gold plates and bowls, but there wasn’t any food on the tables. Giant solid gold statues on oak pedestals sat at the end of each table. In order from the far side of the room towards us, there was a Pegasus, reared up on its back legs and wings aspread, a phoenix rising out of a pillar of fire, wings spread out, a regal looking dragon, with one foot raised and wings standing up straight, a griffin in a running pose, and a chimera, all three heads looking ready to eatChapter the Second by ~GalleLunian
